The University of Central Oklahoma has named Randal Ice, Ph.D., finance professor and Barnabus endowed chair, as the College of Business’s interim dean and Stephen Black, Ph.D., finance professor and chair of the Department of Finance, interim assistant dean, both effective Aug. 1.
“The College of Business will continue to focus on quality as we begin our first full year with AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) Accreditation,” Ice said.
“Students will always remain our top priority and we believe the future has never been brighter for Central’s College of Business.”
Ice served as the finance chair for 16 years (1998-2014) and is highly regarded across campus for his collegial and effective leadership style, his commitment to sound fiduciary management and his passionate support of students.
He holds a doctorate from Oklahoma State University, an MBA from the University of Michigan and a B.B.A. with distinction from the University of Oklahoma.
Black holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University, an MBA from Oklahoma City University and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in finance.
