ISOM Department

The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department offers courses to meet the growing demand for graduates with the ability to impact the performance of organizations through the proper analysis of operations and application of information. ISOM courses also provide graduates with a strong business background and quantitative analytical skills.

ISOM Degree Programs

The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) at the University of Central Oklahoma offers two majors leading to a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (B.B.A.).

Management Information Systems Program

The MIS option prepares students for careers that apply computer knowledge and information technology to business. It focuses on providing the foundational technical and analytical skills needed to analyze an organization’s information system.

Students graduating with an MIS degree may start their career as members of an organization’s end-user support group, network support group, a system analyst, etc.


Operations & Supply Chain Management Program

This major of Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) will prepare you for a career that uses basic business education combined with information systems, critical thinking and structured solution skills. As a graduate, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the supply, operations, and distribution functions to deliver quality products or services at a reasonable cost.
