Biographical Info

T. J. Liles-Tims is President of LilesTims, Inc., a business valuation and financial forensics firm in Oklahoma City.  He has provided consulting and financial management services for a variety of industries.   These services have included business valuations, financial fraud examinations, and financial consulting to distressed companies.  Experience in litigation consulting includes business valuations, detection and quantification of various forms of financial fraud, divorce-related matters, embezzlement, criminal tax fraud, and damages associated with securities fraud.  Testimonial experience includes cases in federal and state court, as well as, FINRA arbitrations.

T. J. received a B.B.A and an M.B.A in Finance from the University of Central Oklahoma, where his field of graduate study was financial management and investment analysis focusing on valuation models and financial analysis.  Additionally, he has earned his designation as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

After graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with an M.B.A, T. J. spent some time at the accounting firm Colton & Associates.  After leaving Colton & Associates, T. J. managed a large portfolio for a local private equity firm before starting his own practice.  “I saw how many small and middle-market business owners had no clue what their businesses were worth and decided to break off, from private equity, and focus on business valuation.”

He is a Contributor, Author and Subject Matter Expert for NACVA in the areas of business valuation, litigation consulting, expert witness, financial forensics, and various consulting disciplines.  He is a member of the Around the Valuation World team and was a Co-Chair for the 2014 NACVA’s Annual Consultants Conference in Las Vegas.  He has also taught continuing legal education classes in the areas of business valuations and financial forensics.

T. J. is a member of the University of Central Oklahoma – College of Business Dean’s Advisory Board.  When not working on engagements, T. J. enjoys playing golf, hunting, and snow skiing.  He is married to his junior high and high school sweetheart, Macie.  They live in Oklahoma City with their two dogs.
